Cultural Collaborations

The Salamanca Arts Centre is more than just a place; it’s a vision for the arts and for Tasmania. Over the years a number of vital collaborations have been nurtured.

The LIVE performing arts consortium links seven Tasmanian companies with the common goal of expanding their audiences. Working together with Terrapin Theatre, is theatre ltd., the Theatre Royal, TasDance and IHOS the Salamanca Arts Centre has designed a number of initiatives that make seeing live performance more attractive and more accessible. Collaborations in the performing arts include co-presentations with the Theatre Royal, IHOS, Tasmanian Regional Arts and Mobile States.

SAC Inc has commissioned and provided important networking and exhibition opportunities for visual artists through high-profile exhibitions. SAC Inc links with Contemporary Art Services Tasmania (CAST), Hobart City Council’s Carnegie Gallery and other galleries in Hobart and around Tasmania.
