Close Shave - 25th Anniversary in 2008

Plans are well on track for the mammoth GALA event of the year - the Close Shave 25th Anniversary Concert at the  Peacock Theatre on Saturday 6 December (matinee and evening performances).

Nineteen former and present members of Close Shave will revisit songs from the 25 years of repertoire -tracing the history of the quartet and the various line-ups.

In September/October 1983, Close Shave was formed and has performed continuously ever since, attending all nine of the biannual AAMBS Conventions since 1991. Most importantly, we have enjoyed sharing our music and introducing other men to the craft. There have been many changes of personnel over that time.

Former members will be arriving from Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and London and as many as possible will perform in their original line-ups, showing the evolution of the group over the years. We hope that this concert will be on the calendar for all music lovers,
especially those interested in the history of acapella singing here in Hobart.
