Neighbourhood Neighbourhood 

What narrative potential is embedded in our understanding of animals in an urban context?

Ambling through this question Neighbourhood Neighbourhood, emerging artist Tobias Grice presents works that turns out the language of a community. Materialising a dialogue between individuals through the display of a selection of archived lost animal posters.

Grice calls on the self-reliance of one’s neighbourhood through a pair of participatory works, engaging in the ‘free to a good home’ mentality and animal-minding. Further more, investigating the roles attributed to animals in an urban context Grice questions the effects of humankind on animal behaviour through a video based performance that drawing directly from folk tale to illustrate this complex issue.
