The Memes: in a world where Romeo was a crusty memer, Juliet a fresh memer and love
– love is found in dank memes.
The Memes is a 6-part web series about a crusty memer, Jeff, whose life is dedicated to find the perfect Meme. To achieve his task he has started ‘the Memes’ a online meme review show. After airing the very first episode he attracts fresh memer, Britteney, to the channel, and she, inspired by the show but unimpressed with Jeff’s love of dead meme’s joins the show and helps Jeff on his quest to uncover the perfect meme.
But the search is not that simple, along the way Jeff will have to battle his twin sister and her normie boyfriend as well as navigate his very dank feelings for Britteney.
The Memes was written, filmed and produced by participants of the Transistor Film Weekly Workshops run by Mast Films. This is a weekly filmmaking program that supports young filmmakers and gives them the skills, access and support to create their own films.
During the screening participants will launch their Pozible campaigns for short films that they have been developing all year and are hoping, with your support, to film later this year.
