Participants will learn all aspects of the filmmaking process from professional filmmakers, screen writers and actors and then apply the skills learnt to make short films and/or a short dramatic web series.
During term 1 the workshops focused on screenwriting, screen directing and producing. Participants developed the outline of short films and worked together to create the outline of a web series.
In term 2 participants will work together to complete scripts for the web series and film these scripts throughout the term. Participants will also work as teams of three, director, producer and writer, on the development of their short film ideas.
In Term 3 participants will build up and prepare to shoot their short films.
In term 4 participants look at all aspects of post-production – including- sound design, music composition, editing and colour grading – applying these skills to their short films.
ELIGIBILITY: This workshop is suited to young people aged between 12 and 17 years of age.
DATES: Weekly on Tuesday nights. Commencing Tuesday, 2 May 2017 and ending Tuesday, 27 June.
