Presented by artist and storyteller Clare Noble.
In 1996 Victoria, visiting Senior Law First People from North Western Desert Country view Clare Noble’s first clay sculpture. They adopted her and encouraged her to continue with her arts practice.
Clare then approached Victoria Elders, and went to the Cebtral Desert to ask Permission. It was there that she was taken to the late Senior Law Leader Wenton Rubuntja, who adopted her as a granddaughter, asking Clare to share her story, writings and art – ‘to all my people, all people and the big seas people’.
Clare Noble has been based in the Central Desert for eighteen years, still meeting Senior Elders across the country.
