Hilary Clared

Hilary Clared paints in the mapping artist genre, often referencing contour lines. Her work investigates Tasmanian landscapes that hold special recognition for local communities
and 
that have become iconic. 

Hilary’s distinctive works have been selected finalists in the Bay of Fires Art Prize 2015, the Bruny Island Art Prize 2016 and Tasmania Regional Arts’  Material Girl Prize 2016

Hilary Clared has a background in UK broadcast documentary programmes and independent filmmaking. She graduated from the University of Tasmania with a BFA (Painting), after migrating in 2009 to Hobart, where she gained Australian citizenship, and enjoys bushwalking.
