Salamanca Arts Centre offers many opportunities for artists and curators to exhibit within several Access Galleries, each with it's own priorities and focus.

Access Galleries

Salamanca Arts Centre offers many opportunities for artists and curators to exhibit within several Access Galleries, each with its own priorities and focus:

  • Long Gallery : suitable for group exhibitions or solo exhibitions by established artists
  • Sidespace Gallery : ideal for small group exhibitions and solo artists
  • Top Gallery : dedicated to showcasing the works of emerging artists
  • Lightbox : high visibility for sculpture and installation works
  • Studio Gallery : dedicated to showcasing the works of Salamanca Arts Centre’s Resident Artists

Top Gallery

Dedicated to exhibiting the works of emerging artists, the Top Gallery is an intimate exhibition space infused with heritage character. Exhibitions run for one month, allowing Salamanca Arts Centre to present at least 12 emerging artists each year.

  • January / February 2017: Skins of the River by Nikala Bourke
  • March 2017: Solastalgia by Belle Moody
  • April 2017: Through the window was a picture by Maria Blackwell 
  • May 2017: Against the Dark by Rebecca Robinson 
  • June 2017: Emma Magnusson-Reid (exhibition title TBC)
  • July 2017: trace by Trine Deans & Rebecca Holmes
  • August 2017: Willow Abbey Windows by Donna Ritchie 
  • September 2017: Earth Designs by Sandra Petersen
  • October 2017: Nolan Art (exhibition title TBC)
  • November 2017: Melinda Morris (exhibition title TBC)
  • December 2017: Adrian Bradbury (exhibition title TBC)
