Rengin Guner creates jewellery influenced by the Ottoman Empire, Australia, the Bauhaus movement and Japanese minimalism
After 13 years working in international news media, Rengin Guner relocated to Hobart with her Tasmanian born husband. This change in environment opened many new creative opportunities. The design skills Rengin acquired from her experiences in the multi-media industry, combined with her awareness of cultural diversities between countries like Australia and Turkey, fuel her jewellery exploration.

Between 2012 – 2017, Space 120 was occupied by a small studio collective of three emerging jewellery artists – Rengin Guner, Jacqui Renton and Tanja von Behrens. All three artists studied together under the same tutelage at the Tasmanian Polytechnic.
