Curated by Nicole Robson. Three Portraits is a trilogy about Salamanca Arts Centre, which is celebrating a 40th Anniversary. Nicole Robson has curated the first edition, PAST, which explores the transition of 65-79 Salamanca Place from a jam factory to a centre for the arts. Rektango is a weekly event held every Friday in Salamanca Art Centre’s own enchanting Courtyard. Hemmed in by a cliff face stretching up to Battery Point, people from all walks of life gather for live music every Friday evening between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. A collaborative performance incorporating music and moving image. To the Surface is a collaborative performance incorporating projections of Australian artist, Tim Maguire’s video works, and improvised jazz from London-based pianist Dorian Ford, Sydney’s Hamish Stuart (drums) and Hobart-based Nick Haywood on double bass.
