FRONT OF HOUSE/BAR MANAGER

(Approx. 4 Days / 30 Hours per week, including weekends and evenings)

Salamanca Arts Centre is a not-for-profit arts organisation that operates from the heritage former warehouses located in the Hobart Waterfront precinct. Our venues include the Peacock Theatre, Long Gallery, Founders Room, Sidespace Gallery, SOCIAL, Kelly’s Garden, Lightbox Gallery, and our Courtyard, all of which showcase our curated events as well as our community and independent performances, exhibitions, and other arts activities.  Our Purpose and Mission is to enable artists to create new works, to enable artistic entrepreneurism, and, through respect, guidance, and inspiration, to foster connections between artists and audiences.

Salamanca Arts Centre is looking to appoint a part-time FoH / Bar Manager, who will be responsible for the effective and efficient management and delivery of events that take place within and throughout Salamanca Arts Centre.

This position requires enthusiasm, commitment, and recent, relevant experience in the hospitality and or events delivery area. The successful candidate will be motivated by achieving excellence through the delivery of high-level customer service, and by their respect for SAC’s audiences, visitors, and other communities.

LIVE MUSIC PROGRAM COORDINATOR

(Approx. 1 Day / 7.6 Hours per week, plus some weekends and evenings)

Salamanca Arts Centre is looking to appoint a 0.2FTE part-time Live Music Program Coordinator, who will be responsible for programming the Founders Room live music events calendar.  The Live Music Program Coordinator will need to possess a good understanding of various music genres and be attuned to the local music scene. An understanding of how venues are best suited to these genres is also important.

The successful candidate will be motivated by achieving excellence through the delivery of a high-quality live music program, and by their respect for SAC’s audiences, visitors, and other communities.
