Presented by the Resource Work Cooperative
Art from Trash is back after its 2 year hiatus.
Art from Trash has been an institution in Hobart for the last 25 years and it’s time to bring it back. What does creative reuse look like after the turbulent last 2 years?
Art from Trash is an annual art exhibition which for the last 25 years has celebrated local artists, makers and crafters who are invited to re-think and re-use materials generally considered ‘rubbish’ into works of art.
Hosted by Resource Work Cooperative, Art from Trash promotes the idea of creative reuse of post-consumer materials, to highlight and promote resource recovery.
Art from Trash is a non-selective exhibition, open to all ages. This is a great opportunity for many first time, emerging and student artists to be involved in a long running exhibition at a well known gallery. Art from Trash is an amazing platform for artists to launch themselves into the public arena.
