‘Attempts on Her Life’ by Martin Crimp

Presented by third year Theatre students at the Tasmanian College of the Arts, University of Tasmania.

Martin Crimp’s 17 scenarios for the theatre, Attempts on Her Life, covers themes from civil war to pornography, consumerism to terrorism, ethnic violence to unprotected sex. The audience peers through Crimp’s camera into a world that attempts to define an individual: Anne the artist, traveller, terrorist, and refugee from civil war. Through the construction of Anne’s mythical identity, the audience is dragged kicking and screaming to a reflective place that challenges the construct of their own self.

Written by Martin Crimp
Directed by Matt Delbridge

We would like to advise that this show is suitable for audience 15 years and over, as it contains adult themes.
