Led by Philip Channells (Creative Director, Dance Integrated Australia) Beyond Technique is a series of disability-inclusive contemporary dance workshops facilitated across four days of the Salamanca Moves program. It is designed to challenge and inspire participants to search for new and authentic qualities of movement drawn from the performer’s lived experience.
This skills development and performance-devising project is suitable for trained and non-trained dancers, actors and physical theatre performers, dance or drama teachers, community arts practitioners and arts workers from diverse background and generations.
Using inclusive creative processes, the project will cross dance and theatre to inform the beginnings of new work in the making.
