Workshop as part of Older Than Language
Join Risa Muramatsu
for a freestyle dance workshop
which draws on influences from around the world, focusing on rhythmic
and expressive movement.
Expressive Movement is a freestyle dance workshop that will use dance as a vehicle to express and release emotions and feelings that are often not given an outlet in everyday life. Risa will walk you through the creation of original expressive movements to rhythm and sound which will culminate in a shared choreography. Beginners and experienced dancers welcome.
What to bring:
Drink bottle and wear comfortable clothing.
For all ages 12+
Young people MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session.

Risa Muramatsu
Risa Muramatsu has been dancing all of her life. She majored in contemporary dance at the Japan Women’s College of Physical Education in Tokyo and is passionate about choreography and stage production. Risa draws on influence from dance styles across the world.
