Workshop as part of Older Than Language
Enjoy working with landscapes using oil pastels,
drawing on intuition and memory
with Mostafa Faraji.
Self-taught artist, Mostafa Faraji will walk participants through interpreting and expressing landscapes in oil pastels. In the 90 minutes he will teach the skill of relying on intuitive processes that draw on memories of home as well as responding to the world around you to create landscapes.

For all ages 6+
Young people MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session.

Mostafa Faraji is a Kurdish visual artist who taught himself how to paint at the age of 15, as a way of dealing with indefinite detention on Christmas Island. He specialises in oil painting and his current body of work explores climate change and the increasing fire risks in Tasmania.
