JOAN

Presented by Tasmanian Theatre Company

I watch those Englishmen swarming our village, my mum’s small body now merging with the dirt.
Catherine asks me a final time.
Push the English out of France?
Me?

Leo J Skilbeck’s multi-award winning, globe-trotting drag king historical cabaret comes to Tasmanian audiences in an all new production with Teddy Dunn in the titular role.

Joan of Arc is known for her nationalism, her faith, her warrior spirit and her defiance of gender norms – leading the armies of the Dauphin of France to victory in battle before being burned at the stake for continuing to dress as man after the war was won. Come and see Joan like you’ve never seen her before in this heartbreaking, belly-laughing, righteous crusade of theatre, drag and cabaret.
