Alejandra Osorio Iturriaga (Beat Latina)
Beat Latinais a Latinx Dance project that was born in Chile and now based in Hobart, Tasmania. Where we explore and express the flavor and rebelty from Latinoamerican dance styles and rhythms, specially the Afrolatin diaspora, from the Latin folklore (like Cueca, Samba, Caporal) until the new mainstream rhythms like Reggaeton. Making an Art bridge between the old and new times through choreographies and performances that we share in different stages and audiences. All this work with a strong vision to keep developing our culture., even if we are far away of our countries.

We have performed at events like Dark Mofo, Moonah Taste of the World, Altar (I love Dancehall party), Nayri Niara Festival, Multicultural Council of Tasmania Festival, Day of the Death event, To The North pop-up community market, Music Garden sessions at Kickstart Art Centre, SHE Summer Session and Big Takayna at Moonah Art Centre.
