Ben Winspear is an award winning actor and director, who has worked all over Australia, and a little bit in Germany, with such companies a Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir, Melbourne Theatre Company, Griffin, NIDA, Queensland Theatre, Adelaide Festival, Komische Oper Berlin, and Force Majeure.
He has recently launched a new company here in Hobart, which has as one of its aims the offering of high quality experiences for young performers and makers. Why? Because he grew up here, got his start in theatre here, made life long friendships building theatre with other young makers here, and wants to offer the same chance to the next generation of young theatre makers of Hobart.
