Julius Schwing & Alf Jackson
Julius Schwing, Vienna born, Bruny Island residing guitarist has released numerous albums under his own name. Julius has performed in cities from Calcutta to NYC to Vienna and currently manages his record label Isthmus Music while staying an active part of the Australian music scene.
Alf Jackson, local drummer has toured and recorded internationally and is currently involved in the Australian improvised music scene. Together they improvise in a playful and interactive style, often loud and disruptive, often the complete opposite. For Last Bastion – one night amplified, one night all acoustic.
those bloody ingalls
Georgia Ingall and Maile Ingall shared a room for 19 years. Georgia is an obnoxious weed with berries. Maile Is left handed. Sometimes they fight.
DANGEROUS GAME
Rising from the still- smouldering ashes of other distinguished cool-temperate combos comes DANGEROUS GAME, the latest incarnation of a quiet revolution whispering through the streets of Hobart, Kingston, and Dodges Ferry. Attacking their set-list with all the scalding bitterness of a coffee from a bakery in small-town Tasmania, the quartet mixes elements of classique rock and lost 60’s pop to create a pastiche of ‘sounds that surround’. With more hooks than an illegal long-lining boat in the southern ocean and enough broken strings to keep a prison tattoo shop in business for decades, DANGEROUS GAME eagerly await the Last Bastion and vow to bring the party accordingly.
