The Voice Academy 2014 Concert showcases some of the finest talent Hobart has to offer. The Academy’s director, Jude Elliot, has handpicked a number of artists to perform their original compositions as well as performing works from composers as diverse as Andrew Lloyd Webber through to songwriters such as Adele. Headlining artists include Annick Audrey, Lillee Mae, Jess Hill and Andrew Jordan.
The Voice Academy is a one of a kind voice studio in Hobart, fast becoming the new Hub for Tasmanian talent. This boutique style of music academy provides professional voice training in genres of contemporary pop, rock, folk, musical theatre and public speaking. The Voice Academy lessons are designed to bring out the best in every singer. No voices are alike, that’s why each client’s program incorporates carefully considered exercises and methods tailored to suit them.
At The Voice Academy we look after some of Tasmania’s finest performers and provide them with professional development in the areas of songwriting, recording, performance and career development.
Unlike some schools which pride themselves on their number of enrolments or offer only one teaching method, The Voice Academy is all about providing quality, one on one tuition incorporating a number of methods to have every singer reaching their potential. A strong foundation using both classical and contemporary techniques are used for all students.
The Voice Academy studio is part of the McCanns Music Centre and conveniently located next door to The Green Room recording studio. Classes are available from 9am and typically run for 30 minutes through to 90 minutes in duration. Being in the heart of Hobart City brings with it the opportunity for lunch time lessons for those who work. After school, evening and weekend lessons are also available from teachers Jude Elliot and Meg Baron.
