An exploration of waterscapes
and their many moods
through works in pastel on paper
and acrylic on canvas by Lindy Whitton.
Many of the works reference the “edges” where water and land meet. This transitional zone provides dynamic contrasts of colour, texture and line. Birds, boats and people contribute a sense of movement and life that is so evident around bodies of water. From the lichen covered rocks of the Bay of Fires to reflections in the Huon River, the beachscapes of Bruny Island and coastal walks the artists love of water is captured in these colourful artworks.
