This workshop truly is for everyone!
Whether you’re bursting with confidence or completely new to singing, this workshop welcomes singers of all abilities and backgrounds to partake in a truly cultural experience.
Oliver Gathercole, director of Hobart’s dynamic Sisongke Community Choir, presents this workshop featuring North American, Maori and South African songs. Participants will have the chance to sing in three different languages and explore a wonderful range of contrasting musical styles. Though different in origin and style, all songs will be tied together by their mutual emphasis on ‘freedom’. With all songs sung in a cappella, you can expect a whole lot of joy as your partake in this wonderful, inclusive experience.
