LPA® (LES PETITES ANNONCES)
Key Artists : JULIA DROUHIN & EDITH PERRENOT
Navigating (French) female archetypes, pop culture and the fragile beauty of the ordinary, LPA® are strange strangers observing strangeness everywhere they go.
LPA® started at the 2018 Tasperforms Residency in Tarraleah. Since then, they develop projects where preciousness is contained in a DIY and humorous set up, based on their respective backgrounds in visual and sound arts, from dadaist shows playing all sorts of instruments (including a xylophone of squeaking pigs), GIF flip books, S-trash magazines collage workshops, to edible nipple shells.
For their first exhibition Fair Distancing at Good Grief Studios for Mona Foma 2021, LPA® produced machinery crossing over sculpture, video, sound and carved works concerned about hug’s metaphysics and socially distanced games.
