Salamanca Arts Centre and Mobile States bring construct to the Peacock Theatre, straight from sell-out tours nationally and in London and Seattle – exposing fresh and international standards in contemporary dance theatre to Tasmanian audiences.

Tanja Liedtke was about to take up the prestigious position of Artistic Director with the Sydney Dance Company when she was inadvertently killed in a road accident.
construct is directed by Solon Ulbrich, who was also Liedtke’s partner in life.
Ulbrich, said: “construct is in demand worldwide but we are more thrilled to tour across Australia”, and added, “In presenting this tour we sustain and share Tanja’s vision, formed and nurtured here in Australia, and continue to construct an exciting future for Australian contemporary dance.”
Ulbrich was Creative Co-ordinator for Liedtke’s Twelth Floor‘s Hobart tour in 2006, which stunned audiences with the power of her work, the virtuosity of the dancers and DJ TR!P’s sound design.
construct features a score designed by DJ TR!P. A brilliant collaboration, creating new and lateral pathways between sound, movement and human emotion.
