construct is a small-scale marvel… candid, complex show with the kind of clever movement that has the audience laughing out loud and frequently bursting into spontaneous applause”. The Times, London

Tanja Liedtke was about to take up the prestigious position of Artistic Director with the Sydney Dance Company when she was inadvertently killed in a road accident.

construct is directed by Solon Ulbrich, who was also Liedtke’s partner in life.

Ulbrich, said:  “construct is in demand worldwide but we are more thrilled to tour across Australia”, and added, “In presenting this
tour we sustain and share Tanja’s vision, formed and nurtured here in Australia, and continue to construct an exciting future for Australian contemporary dance.”

Ulbrich was Creative Co-ordinator for Liedtke’s Twelth Floor‘s  Hobart tour in 2006, which stunned audiences with the power of her work, the virtuosity of the dancers and DJ TR!P’s sound design.

construct features a score designed by DJ TR!P. A brilliant collaboration, creating new and lateral pathways between sound, movement and human emotion.

construct will excite, provoke, and make you laugh out loud while questioning the subtle reality of ‘every day’ life.
