Jeju International Residency


About

The Arts Tasmania Jeju International Residency program commenced in 2018, as part of an exchange between Jeju Island and Tasmania.

In 2018 two Tasmanian artists, Megan Walsh and Penny Burnett were Artist in Residence at the iAa Art Space on Jeju Island in South Korea.

2019 Artist

Jinsoo Kim

In 2019 Korean artist, Jinsoo Kim, from Jeju Island will be Artist in Residence at SAC, residing in the SAC Artist’s Cottage from 4 September 2019 and also working in an Artist’s Studio at Salamanca Arts Centre until the end of November 2019.

Exhibition

The exhibition You Were There will showcase the works created by Jinsoo Kim during his Residency.
Exhibition in Space 238 (Level 2) from Friday 15 – Sunday 23 November 2019


Forum

On Thursday 10 October 2019, SAC will be hosting a public forum in the Founders Room featuring Jinsoo Kim as well as the 2018 and 2019 Tasmanian artists who have been selected for the Jeju Island Exchange.
